Surfing at Point Panic

The surf was pounding on the south shore this week, biggest I've seen in a long time.
Went down after work with Jalna and Susie to capture these huge waves. There was also a great sunset, but I had the wrong lens.

Techie stuff: Nikon D90 with 70-200mm f\2.8, 1.7x teleconverter, shutter priority, shutter 1/640 - 1/1000, ISO 800 - 1600 and circular polarizer.

wow..looking at the size of the surf, I think I know why they call it point panic. So what lens were you suppose to use?

I love, love, love the look of glassy water. I also love, love, love when I'm blurred out in pictures. Great job!
